"UGLY TRUTH"  

A cry of survival, the pain of "grunge"

expressed with world music instruments (sitar, tablas, djembe and didgeridoo)

but in a consciousness that has chosen

respect for self and others (  see the lyrics of "Thieves"  ) !

In the background "UGLY TRUTH" (in the line of "Abyssal Gems")

is perhaps a rather "zen" album: in the spirit of this implacable wisdom,

capable of "exploding everything" when it comes to revealing the truth, the essential!

The use of sitar and tablas once again incorporates distorted sounds,

because they ring true in the subject of this album which "bursts the abscess",

and exorcises certain family taboos...

Likewise on the piece "Anima", the female song of Ourga

" on the razor wire "  between resonance and dissonance  ...

rings perfectly true in the context of “UGLY TRUTH”:

besides, he makes us travel far ...

perhaps on the shores of our "anima", the repressed part of our psyche,

out of our ordinary diurnal and masculine consciousness,

in a musical wave where the sublime prevails over the pain! »
